The first decision most people make when they book with us is not which car, it's which kind of hire. Self-drive or chauffeured changes the price, the paperwork and the whole shape of the day.
Self-drive suits a plan you control
If your day has stops that are hard to predict in advance, or you simply want the car for yourself, self-drive is the more flexible option. It's priced by the day and available on the Porsche Macan Turbo, BMW X6 M, Mercedes S400 Hybrid, Range Rover Sport and Audi Q7.
Chauffeured suits an occasion
Weddings, corporate transfers, nights out and airport runs are almost always chauffeured — priced by the hour with a two hour minimum. Three vehicles in the fleet, the Rolls-Royce Ghost, G-Wagon and AMG GT S, are chauffeur hire only, because that is how they present best.
The middle ground
Most of the fleet can go either way, so it's worth thinking about the actual day rather than defaulting to one option. A wine tour with seven people is a chauffeured booking almost by definition; a weekend away with one car and one driver is usually self-drive.
Still not sure?
Tell us the occasion on the enquiry form and we'll suggest which way makes more sense, along with the right vehicle for it.
